The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of personalities, and a gripping narrative including celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 concluded with a major cliffhanger and presented the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to begin their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might look unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

First, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—used the foes for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then paid off his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, desires revenge.
  • The adventurer has experience in Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous place.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • But, their position as key figures in the powerful family could help the team enter places they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The healer turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The target is marked for death by the family.

This results in them little choice but to head to the remote area in quest for Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight cast members to assemble the Seekers and Strategists parties.

Audiences can look forward to discovering which players will be assigned to which table in the season’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
